Prayer Within Public Schools The United States Is A Free...
How can we say that the United States is a free country when we can not openly express our religious beliefs in public? Prayer within public schools has begun a significant debate amongst people in society today. This has been a controversial topic in the United States for approximately over 50 years. Many argue whether or not it is socially appropriate to have education and religion in the same place. People have made various reasons about why or why not prayer should be prohibited in public schools. There have been countless court cases and discussions all over the nation regarding this topic. According to Karen Ridder, ââ¬Å"A prayer in New York caused the first U.S. Supreme Court Ruling on prayer in public schools: Even though it was the middle of the Cold War, a non-denominational, optional prayer known as The Regentââ¬â¢s Prayer got caught up in the 1962 case of Engle v. Vitaleâ⬠(Ridder). This comes to show how the prohibition of school prayer has been an issue for a significant amount of time. While this is a very disputatious topic, prayer should be allowed in public schools because students should be able to freely express their beliefs. Those who are for prayer being allowed in public schools believe that it is illegal to prohibit students from doing so. In order for Premium Investments operators to ensure constant profitability and remain at the top level in the industry, the team of management of the firm should come up with an appropriate, sustainable and long run strategy. The most appropriate and sustainable long term strategy recommended by Premium Investments operators is the focus strategy. Focus as a strategy is one of the generic strategies that are divided into two segments and narrow competitive scope within the rag retail industry (Palmer,Wright Powers, 2015). The main purpose of the focuser is to selects a segment within the global retail market and tailors the identified strategy to exclusion serving the segments. The focus strategy has two variants that are cost focus and differentiation. Premium Investments operators is therefore advised to employ the use of the focus strategy where the firm is recommended to use cost focus to seek cost advantage in various target segments in order to stay at top of the industry (Ruiz Kowalkowski, 2014). It is from the case study that most of the Premium Investments operators customers have unusual needs and not able to buy other brands such as Just jeans, Jay Jay and other brands (Palmer,Wright Powers, 2015). The firm should therefore adopt the focus strategy and serve their customers in relation to their needs and desires. Financial and Non-Financial Measures to Evaluate the Focus Strategy The recommended focus strategy success can be identified through application of financial and non- financial measures as follows: Financial measures Investment analysis Investments analysis is one of the best financial measures which can be exploited by Premium Investments operators team of management (Zaman, 2017). Identification of new innovations in the industry by the firm suggests the effectiveness of the focus strategy adoption. The success will therefore be used take rate as measure of the success of the strategy. Where there is high take rate by the consumers on the strategy then the company can be considered perfect. Company reputations The firms success in relation to the focus strategy recommended can be evaluated with regards to Premium Investments operators reputation in the industry which is only through its level at the global market (Christensen Nikolaev, 2013). Compare two psychological approaches to health and social care service provision. Kathryn Lamb Tuesday 14th May 2013 In this assignment, I am going to be comparing the humanistic perspective and the biological perspective in a health and social care service provision. The humanistic perspective is ââ¬Å"an innate tendency we all possess as human beings to become the best that we can be in all aspects of personality and intellectual, social and emotional life. â⬠Moonie, N (2010) Health and Social Care Level 3 Book 1, p. 348. Whereas the biological theory looks at the genes of people and also says that it is what determines who a person is and how they develop, so development is more drawn to nature (or genetics) rather than nurture (or the environment). In health and social care settings, the humanistic and the biological approaches contradict each other and can also affect a personââ¬â¢s health in different ways. For example, if someone is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, the humanistic approach says that for someone to develop, a person must follow through Maslowââ¬â¢s hierarchy of needs where they must achieve the basic necessities of life fists such as good housing, good quality food and health which are all included in Maslowââ¬â¢s hierarchy of needs. Polycentric is a highly market-oriented. Each market is considered unique, thatââ¬â¢s why the marketing mix, product strategies, pricing strategies etc is different for each country. Example: Citicorpââ¬â¢s financial services around the world operated on a polycentric basis. James Bailey, one Citicorp executive, offered this description of the company: ââ¬Å"we were like in a medieval state. There was a king and his court, are they in charge? No. The land barons are who were in charge. King and his court may declare this or that, but the lord barons who went and did their thing to their appointed land. With that statement we can interpret that even the owner of company in headquarter stating this and that, but each country has some differences, and we should makes some changes in order to make our company succeed in other country. * Regiocentric (regionally-oriented) Firm treats a region as a uniform market segment and adapts a similar marketing strategy within region but not across region. For examole: Mc Donald not serving pork and slaughter animals through Halal process only in Middle East and some muslim-dominated countries. * Geocentric (world-oriented) The geocentric approach considers the whole world as a single market and attempts to formulate integrated marketing strategies. The firm recognizes both similarities and differences in cultures and markets. Best practices are adopted on a global basis and adapted for local conditions where necessary. Nestle and other multinational company is using geocentric orientation. Colgate Palmolive is an example for a company which using geocentric approach. It has been operating internationally for 50 years and its products are households in more than 170 countries. 2. The practice of each of the entry modes (exporting, licensing, franchising, contract manufacturing, strategic alliances, joint ventures and foreign directt investment) please provide example for each entry strategy done by each local company and international company * Exporting The home company exports their product to host country company/distributor. It is the safest entry strategy to start expanding company overseas. By exporting we would learn the market situation in overseas market. And it is less risky and less cost than to manufactures the goods in host country. The example of exporting is kecap Bango and bumbu Bamboe in European market, especially French. Kecap Bango and bumbu Bamboe export their goods to Indian and Asian store in France. The target market is of course Indonesian consumer who lives there. Another example is Teh Botol in carton pack, it sells its product by helping of Indonesian embassy in Paris, France. * Licensing In licensing the home firm agrees to permit a company in host country to use the manufacturing, processing, trademark, know-how or some other skill provided by the licensor. For example, Coca Cola give license to United Bottlers to make Coke in Zimbabwe. Franchising A home company which using franchising (franchisor), grants another ( a company or individual) the rights to distribute goods or services using franchisorââ¬â¢s brand and system in exchange for fees. Mc Donalds is known to use franchise as its market strategies through the world. In Indonesia, alfamart and indomaret are using franchising as their strategy. But they still using it within Indonesia not overseas. * contract manufacturing In contract manufacturing the firm decide to enter by contracting a manufacture of its product in target market. In example GAP contract manufacture in developing countries to manufacture and sells them. The products can be made to the conditions and specific requirements of the local market * strategic alliances Strategic alliances firm unite with competitor to pursue a set of assented goals remain independent after the formation of the alliance. The partner firms share the benefits of the alliance and the control of the performance of assigned tasks and the partner firms contribute on a continuing basis to one or more key strategic areas. For example, in 2005 Adidas (a German company) announced its acquisition of Reebok. Mr. Herbert Hainer, the CEO of Adidas, expected to cut costs by 125 million Euros in the next three years by sharing information technology, synergies in sales and distribution, and cheaper sourcing. However, the new combined company will continue to run separate headquarters and sales forces, and keep most distribution centers apart * joint ventures In joint ventures the firms in which two or more investors share ownership and control over property rights and operation. In Zimbabwe, Olivine industries have a joint venture agreement with HJ Heinz in food processing. * foreign direct investment The firm makes a direct investment in a production unit in a foreign market. It is the greatest commitment since there is a 100% ownership. The international firm can obtain wholly foreign production facilities in two primary ways; It can make a direct acquisition or merger in the host market and It can also develop its own facilities from the ground up. Multinational company are already using foreign direct investment, like Nestle in many countries in the world including Indonesia, Unilever, etc

Motivation And Work Performance
Question: Discuss about the Motivation And Work Performance. Answer: Introduction: The success and failure of any organization depends on how customer centric is their business plan. Today, in this age of short product life cycle and when customers have good bargaining power over suppliers due to increased competition by globalization, the only way not only to survive but also to excel is bringing custom centricity in everything what organizations do, showing customers how passionate organizations are about the business helping customers, and showing them how organizations are different from the competitors and how the organizations care about their customers. All these things can really happen only when employees understand their responsibilities and work with high productivity levels. Analysis There are various motivation theories that are being used by the organizations to keep employees motivated. The Maslow need hierarchy theory is used widely by organizations to keep employees motivated. One of the ways to gauge the motivation level of employees is the employee satisfaction survey. Employee satisfaction surveys offer organization with the information and methods to create optimistic employee associations and work atmosphere. Employee approaches, desire aspects, burnout propensities, loyalty, office environment and competitive intellect are important pointers for employee satisfaction. Effective companies emphasize on building and strengthening employee satisfaction so as to get the maximum output from their human capital. Suitably constructed employee satisfaction surveys deliver the understandings that are basic for creation and reinforcement of agreeable work atmospheres. The above mentioned survey questionnaire could be used to get the required data for analysis. Th is survey sheet can be passed on to the employees through their official email ids and the responses could be collected in a time bound manner. Thus the findings can be used to study the companys employee satisfaction. It is important that the motivation level of employees should also align with the innovation as innovation can help organizations to develop competitive advantage. There are some misinterpretations, especially when it takes to the innovation side. It is hard even to Managers to determine whether the employee is innovative and has competence or it is just innovative. There is a borderline in here that may not be forgotten. Anthony (2012) also quotes Fitzgerald trying to explain this difference:the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. This quote summarizes that although is important that the person holds with passion its innovation thought it is imperative that a critique though come together. Thus, this double thought determines that the competence follows innovation. The motivation of employees also encouraged employees to develop the job specific competencies that the employees should develop. Since competencies are qualities one would hope are becoming of all level of workers within an organization, then social interaction and creativity are most definitely competencies. Wood and Payne (1998, cited in Pilbeam and Corbridge 2010, pp. 72-74) identified a number of competencies found in frameworks; among those were communication, building relationships, problem solving and analytical thinking. By my proposition, social interaction is accounted for by communication skills and building relationships, whilst creativity is accounted for by problem solving and analytical thinking. Sufficed to say social interaction and creativity are components of competencies. A means of assessing or measuring such competencies may be executed through continuous assessment in conjunction with other strategic initiatives aimed at establishing stable organizational orie ntation. Day (1994) describes such a practice as part of the organization-wide transformation becoming of market-driven organizations. Enhancing all organizational capabilities internal and external, calls for accurate assessment of current and future capabilities inclusive of ore competencies as the author further reveals. On the one hand people believe that the competences that drive better work performance and value added to the organization. In other perspective, these competences are equally measured to how well a person can balance his work and social life. The social interaction is one's own reflection and learning, therefore the same professional behavior and attitude one displays at work must match his/ her level of competence in his social life. In various cultures these could be left irrelevant to the work as some cultures may separate social life from work, while other societies have greater emphasis on integrating people's social interaction and work performance. Creativity is indeed a value added to people's ability to be innovative and have more capacity to implement their vision into reality. It would be correct to say that the motivation level of employees that have a good work-life balance is better than the motivation level of employees that does not have a good work-life balance. It is important that the motivation level should be directed towards the competency development. The motivation can really improve the productivity level of employees when the employees can develop their competency by remaining motivated. Sveiby (1997), posits five mutually dependent individual elements of competence; explicit knowledge, skill, experience, value judgment, social network. Social interaction and creativity are both component skills which make up managerial competence, the former is people-oriented involving an individuals relationships with others within the firm while the latter is intellectual, focusing on situation assessment and search for alternative ways to reach set goals. Scheer, et al (2012, citingReich, 2008 Kolb, 1984) suggest thatlearning is a process of individually self-organizing knowledge. The learning process is unpredictable, and knowledge is constantly altered through new insights, which are gained through individual experiences. This theory implies that though we can all learn the same processes and because of lifes experiences they will mean different things to different people, which should promote different approaches to role execution. The motivation level of employees could also depend on various external factors like the cultural and social factors. In this current state, businesses may not need to depend or look at culture as the major factor in relation to their proceedings or performance. That is to say international businesses may not base on culture in order to start business. This is because people have different cultures reason being that they come from different societies. For example in the Muslim community, it would be very hard to sell pork as a way of raising income. However because of modernization, one would carry out the business because the major goal of the business formation is profit maximization but not cultural formation. Robert M. Williamson (2006) wrote an article regarding around motivation and performance. Author argued that the leaders and managers should develop methods and ways to measure the motivation level of employees. The organization and leaders can actually improve the motivation level of employees when they can measure these motivation levels. His discussion supports the idea that measurements are important but also with challenges. Specifically, there are a lot measurement opportunities but these measurements seldom hit its target. These measurements just come and go and sometimes managers get lose track of what are those that really needs to be measured. Referring to Albert Einsteins sign in his office wall Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts. A view is that measurements and metric are not the only source of improvements. Another thing to bear in mind is this, when something is measured but it isnt important, it probably wont get do ne. This means that measurements sometimes do the task of assessing something that is not significant for the company. It is just so done because it is being required but do not impact the companys creation of value. Still an important concept is measure the wrong things and the organizations will likely get the wrong behaviors. This is true enough to management that is measuring another thing for the wrong performance indicator. Thus, instead of bringing performance improvement, it will lead to creation of unnecessary issues. In summary, organizations need to embrace improvement of performance using appropriate measurements that can cater to all types of competencies or work indicators. Organizations should use the findings to aid in decisions of what needs to be sustained or modified. Hence, measure all that counts for the success of the organization and do not linger on those, which do not create any impact for performance improvement. Conclusion It would be correct to say that motivation is the key driver of individual growth and development. The large and small organizations have realized that employees are the assets of the organization and the success of the organizations would depend on the way employees are working. Therefore, the organizations cannot neglect the importance of motivated workforce. The motivation acts as the catalyst for employees to work with higher productivity. It is believed that employees feel passionate and committed if they are motivated. Therefore, it is important that the organizations must create a platform where employees motivation can be improved. It would be correct to say that it is not easy to improve the motivation level of employees. Therefore, the leaders are always in search of the employees that are self-motivated. There could be both direct and indirect methods to increase the motivation level of employees. The direct methods are associated with employees perception and employee att itude and the organization must create a culture to improve the motivation through direct methods. The direct methods would include employee compensation, salary, and rewards. The indirect methods of employee motivation would include secondary or support factors like work conditions, tangible things within the organization, the infrastructure and facilities, etc. The self-motivation is a key for employees to work with 100% productivity levels. A true leader is one who can have an impact on the individual so that employees can work with dedication and commitment. As a conclusion, it is rightly said that if employees feel their jobs are interesting, challenging and important, they will be motivated, and that high motivation will lead to improved work performance, job satisfaction and reduced absenteeism and labor turnover. Direct Selling benefits consumer because it sells high quality products at the consumers convenience, often at his/her home or workplace. Customers value the advantages of convenience, personalized attention, demonstration of usage, and a wide choice of products backed by Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. One of the most tangible impacts of Direct Selling in its new advent has been the fact that it has touched the average man and women in a manner never experienced before. Anyway India Corporation is the countrys leading Direct Selling Company. It is perhaps the best example of the contribution Direct Selling is making to India. Direct selling is not about getting rich quick it is about creating rewards for effort and initiative. With low risk and low UAPITA investment, Anyway provides people with the opportunity to achieve and to improve their lives. As a leading player in the world of direct selling, Anyway is helping to clean up the industry and provide a valuable and acceptable form of product distribution. In an impersonal fast-moving world driven by technology, Anyway provides the personal touch. Because it focuses upon direct selling, Anyway is different from more traditional distribution channels. Its Independent Business Owners own their own business, with the flexibility to deal directly with their own clients and to build up personal relationships. These Independent Business Owners also have the ability to deliver Mammys products to their customers homes. Independent Business Owners sell to people they know or meet. The personal contact and care they provide is an important element in direct selling. They are also self-employed and can introduce others to the business to form their own sales group of Independent Business Owners. The channel of distribution describes the stages of ownership that take place as a product moves from a manufacturer to a consumer. The increasing use of the Internet by consumers has created a real potential for developing efferent types of business models and for new approaches to reaching users directly and quickly in their homes. This report examines in detail the marketing strategy of the leading global direct marketing major, Anyway in India. In the initial stages of the report I have focused on Mammys current position in the Indian market. As the research progresses I have tried to analyses the companies marketing objective for India and how they set out to achieve them. This report also provides a brief introduction to the concept of multilevel marketing and tries to make the reader understand the difference twine multilevel marketing and the traditional distribution setup in the FMC sector, so as to give an idea as to how the system is being utilized by companies like Anyway. MI_M -a definition Multilevel marketing allows sellers to build a business through their own sales efforts and by inviting others to become sellers. Remuneration is based on a sellers personal sales AND on the combined sales of those people they have sponsored, trained and motivated. The story of Anyway is intended to drive home the point of a company being alert enough to modify its globally accepted practices to suit the local markers needs. This report has been made keeping in mind the benefits which can be derived from my research. Benefits t o customers This report will be beneficial for consumers who prefer the marketing goods or services directly to them: at their own convenience often in his/her home either on a one-to-one basis, or in the context of a sales party. Through this the customers will get a better idea about the companys product offerings and value the advantages of: convenience, personalized attention, and a good selection of quality products available at their door Steps. Benefits to sellers Many people have chosen direct selling because they want to build their own business, but do not have: considerable funds required to buy a franchise or start a new company. Among the top five reasons people sell direct because they like and believe in the product, like being their own boss, and working their own hours, like the supplemental family income or making extra money for themselves. It can be beneficial from the sellers point of view as it may give them the idea of exactly how they can go about creating their own business and benefit from the Anyways unique business opportunity. Benefits to companies In this report I have deeply analyses the marketing strategy for Anyway through personal interviews by many IBOS and Anyway customers wh o have helped in adding valuable data to this project which can be useful for the company. The suggested recommendations can be considered by the corporation for further expansion and increasing market share.COMPANY HISTORY Anyway began in 1959 with two young entrepreneurs in the United States Rich Devon and Jay Van Ended. Their concept for an innovative business opportunity, centered around person-to-person marketing, established itself s a leader among one of todays fastest-growing industries. Today, more than 3. 6 million independent business owners distribute Anyway products in more than 80 countries and territories. Anyway is part of the Ulterior family of companies whose global sales totaled $4. 5 billion in its most recent fiscal year. Sass A Friendship Forms Rich Devon and Jay Van Anodes friendship actually began with a business proposition, when Rich struck a deal with Jay for a ride to school for 25 cents a week. After high school they entered the military, but they planned to start a business together after separate tours of duty. A friendship formed and became a business relationship that has lasted to this day. 1 sass The Early years Anyway quickly outgrew its original facilities in the basements of Rich Devotes and Jay Van Anodes homes. In its first full year of business, Mammys sales were more than half a million dollars. Sass The Decade of Growth As vowed by Jay Van Ended the night of the 1969 disaster, Anyway rebuilt the aerosol plant and went on. The ass began with sales of more than $100 million at estimated retail, and kept going strong. After a lengthy investigation, the FTC verified that Anyway is a genuine business opportunity ND not a pyramid. asses The Billion-Dollar Decade The ; ass will be remembered for the first Billion Dollar Year at estimated retail in 1980. Building expansion at Anyway World Headquarters continued at breakneck speed as Anyway scrambled to keep pace with demand, opening its new cosmetics plant in Dad. Sass The Second Generation As carefully planned by Rich and Jay, the second generation Van Ended and Devon families took the helm during the ass. Steve Van Ended and Dick Devon succeeded their fathers as Chairman and President. Distributors witnessed a similar trend, with the second generation of many distributor implies taking on important leadership roles. Asses The New Millennium In 2000, Anyway Corporation became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ulterior, Inc. Chairman Steve Van Ended and President Doug Devon share the Office of the Chief Executive.ANYWAY is a world leader in Direct Selling. A key element to this success is the recognition by governments that ANYWAY is a model marketing system. As with any venture, you should review all aspects, weigh the ad vantages disadvantages, and decide whether it meets your needs. Here are some essential points to consider about the ANYWAY business opportunity: Start-Up Costs Compare the start-up costs of this opportunity with that of a conventional business, and you will notice quite a difference. The only cost for an ANYWAY Business is that of a Business Kit, which costs RSI. ,400. Merchandising The first way you can make money with your ANYWAY business is to sell products to retail customers. Successful merchandising is made easier by Mammys line of high quality products; a sound combination of upscale and consumable items that can mean profitable and repeat sales. Sponsoring You may increase your merchandising efforts through sponsoring. Although it is not mandatory to sponsor people, sponsoring may increase your income when the Distributors you sponsor begin to build their own ANYWAY business.Business Support Materials As your business begins to grow, you may want to acquire training aids. You also may want to attend motivational and business-building meetings. These are optional. Deductions Your ANYWAY business is not a tax shelter, but you are entitled to deduct your ordinary and necessary business expenses as defined by the Income Tax Act, 1961. Time and Effort The bigger your financial goal, the more time and effort you will need to put into your ANYWAY business. With an ANYWAY business, you work as much or as little as you like, depending on your own goals. Its all up to you. They do exactly what their uplinks do. They talk like them, act like them, and follow them around everywhere as if they were kings and queens. Naturally, with this sort of following, Anyway distributors expect guidance in everything they do. This is the reason behind all of the tapes, books, and step-by-step instructions for building an Anyway business. Below are the 8 recommended steps for building a large nee;ark and the four steps to sponsoring new distributors. These steps, taken from handouts given to me by my diamond directs, sure dont make one think that the tapes, books, and other materials are optional!Take a gander! Eight Steps to Building a Large Network 1. 100% Personal Use 2. Establish 10 15 customers Priority Service Program 3. Books Read a book each month Read 10-15 pages each day 4. Tapes Listen to one tape a day (minimum) Be on Recommended Tape 5. Functions Attend all functions (see page 1 1) 6. Business counseling with active uplink Set goals with uplink on Goal Setting Card (F-7) 7. Group Association Build quality relationships within the network 8. Show The Plan (STEP) Make a list Of names by using Anagrams, Christmas lists, telephone indexes, wedding invitations, etc. To jog your memory (dont pre-judge).Add new names through daily contacts. Pass out 1 tape a day Show the Plan (SST P) three time a week Utilize the Issues and Answers video properly Personally sponsor 1-2 people each month Four Steps to Sponsoring 1 . Pass out prospecting tapes or approach directly and follow up within 24 hours. 2. Set appointments 3. STEP 4. Follow up second look meeting And Who Is Bill Bruit? From the experiences of friends I spoke with in the USA, what is more likely to appear on the Anyway list of promises is promotional cassettes and books rather than more products. The promotional material is designed to help anAnyway distributor sell, sell, sell. The basis for this activity is propounded by American, Bill Bruit. He and another American, Dexter Yeager, run two of the most successful systems under the Anyway banner. It is said that about 90% Of Mammys products move through these two systems. In India, what is being discussed is the Bill Bruit system. The Advocate newspaper in the LISA reported that to follow Barites system is to spend hundreds of dollars a year on motivational tapes. Anyway distributors are told that spending money to buy these tapes is the key to building a large, successful Anyway business. Therefore, it is likely that new products peddled by Anyway distributors will not be more soap but more hope in the form of these motivational materials. One USA based distributor, an Indian (who has since left the business), told me that these tapes were meaningless and were sold to people by convincing them that werent doing well enough. He said that the tapes would become an item for sale and Anyway distributors will be selling them to each other in a self feeding frenzy. Anyway India Product Catalogue ;Car Wash ;Dish Drop ;L. O. Abbe Sieyes essays
Abbe Sieyes essays Emmanuel Joseph Sieyes, better known as Abbe Sieyes, is considered by some scholars, the leader of the early Revolution in France; however, others consider him a selfish, jealous man. No matter what one believes, there are some indisputable facts about Abbe Sieyes. Emmanuel Joseph Sieyes was born on May 3rd, 1748 in Frejus. His father was a postmaster and collector of king's dues, while his mother was connected to the lower ranks of nobility. Sieyes' parents gave him the best education they could afford, first at home under a tutor, then in the Jesuits' College at Frejus. Most graduates of the college attended military academies and Sieyes expected the same, but was forced into a different occupation. Emmanuel's parents pushed him into Holy Orders in the hope that he would support the family, especially his two brothers. The Bishop of Frejus was a family friend and helped Emmanuel's parents send him to Paris to study at the Seminary of St. Sulpice. His studies lasted for ten years and he was ordained a priest in 1773. Two years after his ordination, Abbe Sieyes became secretary to the Bishop of Treguier. His advancement in the priesthood was hindered of course, because he came from a middle-class family that lacked nobility. Then in 1784, he became vicar general and chancellor to the Bishop of Chartres. Abbe Sieyes then became a member of the Provincial Assembly of Orleans in 1787. When the Estates General was called in late 1788, Abbe Sieyes wrote his most famous pamphlet, Qu'est-ce que le Tiers Etat? "What is the Third Estate?" With its publishing in January 1789, Sieyes became a prominent figure at the Estates General. On June 12, 1789, Sieyes brought about the vote to allow the privileged to join the Third. Then on June 17, he brought about the vote that transformed the Third into the National Assembly. One year later, Sieyes was voted president of the Assembly and of the Jacobian Club. During the next three y...
